Sacre du Printemps and Firebird as farewell
On the July the 9th Sergi Roca will end his 4-year commitment as 2nd Kapellmeister at the Theater Kiel conducting the successful ballet "Labyrinth der Träume" (Labyrith of dreams) by choreographer Yaroslav Ivanenko.
The show explores Salvador Dalí's life, work and visions with a surrealistic esthetic.
Both Stravinsky's extremely challenging masterpieces will be played from the orchestra pit by the Kieler Philharmoniker.


Manon Lescaut Debut
Roca Bru recently made his debut with Puccini's first world wide success conducting five performances of Manon Lescaut at the Theater Kiel in a production featuring Agnieska Hauzer as Manon and Andeka Gorrotxategi as Des Grieux.
After Tosca (Flensburg) and Madama Butterfly (Sabadell), Manon Lescaut is the 3rd Puccini opera that Roca Bru conduted in the
season 2022/23.
Roca Bru appointed 1. Kapellmeister and substitute General Music Director at the Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater, Flensburg
The appointment occured after a selection process consisting of two rounds and the performance of the running production of Tosca at the opera Flensburg in November 2022.
Roca Bru has signed for the next two seasons and will conduct a wide range of symphonic, operatic, ballet and musical productions. The Schleswig-Holsteinisches Landestheater
is one of three public theatres in the land of Schleswig-Holstein (along with Kiel and Lübeck). It has an orchestra with 64 musicians, a soloist ensemble, a choir, a ballet ensemble, an acting ensemble as well as a section for puppet theatre. It performs in cities such as Flensburg, Rendsburg, Schleswig and
Neumünster, and it is the cultural lighthouse of this north German region.


Double Verdi Debut
Within two weeks Sergi Roca Bru has made his debuts of Verdi's late masterpieces, "Aida" and "Otello" at the Opera Kiel.
The cast included outsanding international artists such as Andeka Gorrotxategi (Otello), Antonio Palombi (Radmès), Agnieska Hauzer (Aida and Desdemona), Dario Solari (Jago and Amonasro) and Maria Gulik (Amneris)
